Karigar Lane runs as a craft café.

You reserve your chair in advance, then choose your craft when you arrive. No pressure - just you and the making.

To confirm your spot, you'll pay a $10 reservation fee at the time of booking. This holds your chair and is non-refundable — it goes toward your session on the day.

On arrival: Please arrive at the start of your session time, Pick your craft, pay the remaining balance, and get started. Simple.

Your session starts at your booked time (i.e 4.00 pm) and runs for one hour and a half.

We recommend arriving 5 minutes prior to the session start time to browse the menu. We have a grace period of up to 10 minutes past the start time.

All bookings will be marked a no-show after the grace period. On a case by case basis, if there is time and space, your host may facilitate you for a reschedule to the next available session or to the time slot that has started. If this is facilitated, the $10 fee will not be credited back.

These policies are in place to preserve yours and all of our guests experience. We spend everyday preparing and ensuring that our guests have an excellent experience. We only ask that our guests are on time.

Self- Guided means the craft will not be a structured workshop with a host guiding you through every step.

This does not mean that there will not be support, assistance or guidance from our Karigars (expert hosts) on-site.

Our space is perfect for you if you want to try your hands at a craft at your own pace, with your own ideas and with support available in the form of booklets as well as hosts when you need it.

Our craft cafe space might not be for you if you’re looking for a structured workshop with step by step guidance. You can book an experience like this with us for groups of 8 people or more get in touch at store@karigarlane.co.nz

Absolutely. Solo visitors are welcome — plenty of people come alone and leave having made something (and usually chatted to someone at the table). You don’t need a group to have a good time here

Yes — we strongly recommend it. Walk-ins are welcome but we can’t guarantee a seat will be available on the day. Reserving your spot for $10 is the only way to secure your chair.

Yes ofcourse we can accomodate kids over the age of 7. However, we do not recommend perfumes or candlemaking for kids under 10 years old

Our space is however not suitable for kids under the age of seven and we ask parents to be mindful of that.

Yes, Karigar Lane is fully accessible via wheelchair. If you have any specific accessibility needs or questions before your visit, please don't hesitate to reach out — we want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome here.

We take care of all the messy parts for you, like the wax melting. However there is still a small risk of mess from wax spills or oil spills. We recommend to wear something that you don't mind getting messy!

Not at all - we take care of everything so that you can craft like a pro.

All materials and tools are provided — you come with curiosity, we handle the rest. A drink is included with every craft, and you take home everything you make.

Nope. Your reservation holds your chair — the craft decision waits until you're here. You'll choose from whatever's available on the day when you arrive.

If you already know what you want to make, great. If you'd rather decide in the moment over a cup of chai, that works too.
