A Bit Of History

Learn a little bit about the history of blockprinting, a 5000 year old craft that originated in the Indus Valley yet remains alive today and allows us to experience the beauty of what humans can make.

Practice & Master Print

Join your host in mastering the art of block printing. The trick to blockprint seems simple but its a process of slowing down and using the power of our whole body to create a small piece of art.

🎟All ticket purchases are non-refundable.If you’re unable to attend or arrive more than 10 minutes late, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.

👨‍👩‍👦Only the people who book can attend. We have a capacity of 20 people in our studios and we cannot have spectators or parental supervision without a ticket.

⌛️ You can reschedule your booking up to 24 hours before the booking time. If you request to reschedule your booking less than 24 hours before the start time we reserve the right to decline.

👶For bookings with children under 5,please contact us in advance.

🐕Our studios cannot accomodate pets & animals. Please do not bring your furry friends to our workshops as it is not a pet-safe environment.

🎉Celebrating a special occasion? Let us know in advance if you’d like to bring food or non-alcoholic drinks so we can accommodate. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

🚨Unexpected Changes: In rare cases (e.g., maintenance, weather, staffing), we may need to cancel or refund your workshop—we’ll notify you in advance.

How It Works⏳Duration:The blockprinting workshop takes approximately an hour. After you have completed your masterpiece it needs 15 minutes to dry.

Yes ofcourse they can! We think it's a great activity for kids. However, we do need to know if they are younger than the age of 7 so we can prepare their experience for them.

Yes it will! We recommend wearing something you dont mind getting paint on

Not at all - we take care of everything so that you make your blockprint like a pro.

Yes we can host a special occasion workshop at your location, please get in touch to store@masalabazaar.co.nz for this.

Yes, we have a minimum booking requirement of two people at our in-store studio and a minimum booking requirement of four people at our off-site event studio.
