Craft Cafe

Perfect for groups of up to 8-10 people: You and your group each pick your own craft when you arrive. Everyone can make something different.

A Karigar is always on hand for help, but there's no set script or step-by-step walkthrough. Perfect for casual catch-ups, birthdays, and anyone who wants to craft at their own pace without disturbance.

Host Led Event

Perfect for Groups of 8 or more.

Your whole group is guided through Perfume or Candlemaking, start to finish, by one of our hosts. Think structured workshop, not self-serve menu. This is the pick for bridal showers, corporate workshops and special occasions.

Candle or Perfume Making is $55 pp and a $150 event fee applies on top of your per-person craft cost for a host led experience. A minimum of 8 people are required for host led.

We can host up to 25 people for team events and larger celebrations. Groups of 11–25 people always run as a host-led private event (min. 8 applies, event fee as above), this lets us give everyone a proper seat, materials, and full attention from our team.

Questions before you book?

Unfortunately we cannot accomodate food & drink at our location from self-catering. This can pose a health and safety hazard with the materials used in the workshops. We also do not have a BYO licence for alcohol.

However, we can always partner with local cafes and pastry shops for special occasions to provide made to order cakes for events. We also provide complimentary hot drinks during your workshop.

Karigar Lane runs as a craft café.

You reserve your chair in advance, then choose your craft when you arrive. No pressure, no schedule, just you and the making.

To confirm your spot, you'll pay a $10 reservation fee at the time of booking. This holds your chair and is non-refundable — it goes toward your session on the day.

On arrival: Pick your craft, pay the remaining balance, and get started. Simple.

Your session starts at your booked time (i.e 4.00 pm) and runs for one hour and a half.

We recommend arriving 5 minutes prior to the session start time to browse the menu. We have a grace period of up to 10 minutes past the start time.

All bookings will be marked a no-show after the grace period. On a case by case basis, if there is time and space, your host may facilitate you for a reschedule to the next available session or to the time slot that has started. If this is facilitated, the $10 fee will not be credited back.

Starting a booking late may also mean omissions have to be made to the experience.

These policies are in place to preserve yours and all of our guests experience. We spend everyday preparing and ensuring that our guests have an excellent experience. We only ask that our guests are on time.

Yes — we strongly recommend it. Walk-ins are welcome but we can’t guarantee a seat will be available on the day. Reserving your spot for $10 is the only way to secure your chair.

Yes ofcourse they can! We think it's a great activity for kids. However, we do need to know if they are younger than the age of 7 so we can prepare their experience for them.

Yes, Karigar Lane is fully accessible via wheelchair. If you have any specific accessibility needs or questions before your visit, please don't hesitate to reach out — we want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome here.

You pay $10 now to reserve, and the rest when you arrive. All crafts include a drink — just choose what you'd like to make.

On the day:Your $10 booking fee is deducted — so you'll only pay the balance (e.g. $25 for a $35 craft) when you arrive.

We take care of all the messy parts for you, like the wax melting. However there is still a small risk of mess from wax spills or oil spills. We recommend to wear something that you don't mind getting messy!

Not at all - we take care of everything so that you can craft like a pro.

All materials and tools are provided — you come with curiosity, we handle the rest. A drink is included with every craft, and you take home everything you make.

Feeling fancy? Upgrade to a custom drink crafted to your taste on the day for just $5 extra. Worth it.

Nope. Your reservation holds your chair — the craft decision waits until you're here. You'll choose from whatever's available on the day when you arrive.

If you already know what you want to make, great. If you'd rather decide in the moment over a cup of chai, that works too.

Cancellation & Changes

The $10 reservation fee is non-refundable — it secures a physical chair and means we've planned for you to be here.

If something comes up, reach out as soon as you can. While we can't refund the reservation fee, we'll always do our best to find a solution. Whether that's moving your booking to another date or passing your spot to someone on the waitlist.

Get in touch before your session and we'll see what we can do. Rescheduling is subject to availability, but we'd rather you come and make something than not come at all.

Groups & Private Events

Yes, we love a good gathering. Whether it's a birthday, hen's party, team outing, or just a crew that makes things together, we can host you at our craft cafe for a self guided experience or our host-led experience.

To host a private event with a host led experience we require a minimum of 8 people and a $150 event fee applies.

Get in touch directly to discuss your group size, preferred craft, and date and we can book you in from there.

If you are unsure whether your group would need a host-led experience feel free to come in to our craft cafe during weekends and see how we run for yourself! It will give you an idea of what your group might prefer.
